What is a Freelance Writer?
A Freelance Writer is somebody who writes other peoples blog or web content for pay. vIf writing is something you enjoy, then running your own blog is certainly an option.
However, you may not want or be able to deal with the hassles of your own website and happy just to write. In this case, Freelance writing is right up your street.
You can find Freelance jobs in pretty much every and any aspect of online work. Whatever your skill is you will be able to pick up freelance work in that field. On Fiver for Instance, you will find Freelancers in every field of Internet work from Web Design to Getting Facebook Likes, from Writing a Blog post to designing a Logo, you can find all sorts of skilled Services being advertised.
How much does it pay?
Another one of the great things about being a Freelancer is that you get to call your own prices, within reason of course. Afterall, you can charge astronomical prices but you might find that you aren’t getting much custom your way. So, generally you want to be charging around about the going rate for your particular skill and service, give or take a few bucks depending on how good you are at doing what you do. So, have a look around on Fiver to see what everyone else is asking for their services and this will give you a rough idea of what you can make and in how long.
A Freelance writer for example will charge roughly $100-200 per article, depending on it’s size and their quality & reputation. A half decent writer should be able to do this in a day and a keen writer may complete twice this amount or even three of these in a day. So they could be earning anywhere between $100 to $600 per day, depending on their skill and speed.

It’s a big bad place the worldwide web with a lot of scammers, so people are naturally wary of who they deal with, espe3cially where money is involved. Half assed profiles and suchlike tend to scare potential clients off. So make this a priority and take the time to sell yourself.
So go on over to Fiverr and;
- Sign Up – It’s completely Free to join and list your services.
- Complete your Profile – Take some time to complete your profile explaining what skills you have to offer and so on. This will be what potential clients will see when they check you out before hiring, so be sure to sell yourself well. Be sure to include a clear personal photo so that people can place a face to the Freelancer (this builds Trust).
- Create your Listing – Tell the world what it is you are offering, when you can do it by and for how much. You can add on extras to your packages with things such as getting it done faster or extra words if you’re a Freelance writer for example. Or if you’re a Freelance web designer, you could add extra pages for a certain price and so on.
