There’s an old saying that goes “Money Saved is Money Earned” and that saying is very true, and there are many ways you can do this. If you can get something you want Free, then the money that you would have spent, you can then use to buy something else. You can earn gift cards online nowadays for many different online and offline shops, Cafe’s and even Pubs & Restaurants as well as online subscriptions for gaming and telecommunications.
So although these opportunities may not actually give you cash in your hand, the fact that they give you something Free that you’d have otherwise spent money on, then you have ultimately just earned whatever it would have cost. The great thing about this is that these vouchers aren’t always just for Luxury Items but you can get vouchers to spend on everyday items that you already regularly spend money on.
Earn Gift Cards Online Free
Over the past few decades, gift cards and vouchers have become an increasingly common way of sending gifts. The reason for this may be attributed to many different factors including the fact that they are safer to send in the post, people can give their child or a relatives child money to treat themselves knowing that they will spend it on what it was intended for just to mention a few reasons out of many.
They also serve as a popular way of rewarding someone for something. One common example of this is shown with certain shops, services, Insurance companies and the like. They may reward a customer with a gift card when they spend a certain amount or sign up to a specific deal that they have on offer. So they can be used as an incentive.
Earn Gift cards with Microsoft Rewards
One Example of these incentives that I’d like to share with you is Microsoft Rewards. This is a reward scheme that Microsoft have in place that rewards its users with points for completing different tasks on a daily basis. These points can then be exchanged for all sorts of rewards including Gift cards for many high street and online Brands such as Xbox, Pizza Express, Halfords, Tesco and many more.
How do you Earn points?
When you log into your Microsoft Rewards dashboard each day, you will see a whole range of different tasks you can do. Each of these tasks offer different amounts of points for completing them.
These tasks include;
- Clicking on links (10 Points)
- Daily Poll (10 Points)
- Lightspeed Quiz (30 Points)
- Bonus Quiz (30 Points)
- Search Bing on PC (Up to 90 Points)
- Search Bing on Mobile (Up to 60 Points)
- Searching Bing using Microsoft Edge (Up to 12 Points)
- Earn Points when Shopping in the Microsoft Store
- Earn Points when you buy Xbox games
- Bonus offers (Usually around 150 Points)
A Look at the Daily Tasks
The Bonus offers vary from time to time, but they’re usually things like ‘Punch Cards’. These are a list of 4-5 links that you can click on. Once complete, they usually give you about 150 points. So this can occasionally give you some extra points in a day.
You get 30 points for each of the quizzes. These are Impossible to lose as they’re multiple choice answers and it lets you try as many times as you want to get the correct answers. So they are each a guaranteed 30 points too. There’s also a Daily Poll that gives you 10 points for completing.
You can also earn points by using the Bing search engine and will get 3 points per search. You can accumulate up to 90 points this way on a PC and 60 points on a Mobile Phone, and Yes, you can do both. If you install Microsoft Edge app and use that to search, you can get an extra 12 points. Although personally, I don’t bother with the Edge App as I prefer using Chrome as my browser. But it’s entirely up to you.
If you’re a gamer, then you’re sure to love this one as you can not only use your points to buy Xbox Live Membership, but you can also collect points each time you purchase a game from Microsoft. This also applies to the Microsoft Store too.
What are the Points worth?
Once you have accumulated some points you can go to the “Redeem” tab and browse the rewards you can spend your points on. Here you will find loads of different rewards you can purchase with your points. They have different categories too. You can buy sweepstakes and participate in other opportunities to Win Microsoft Goods such as Laptops, Games consoles and Xbox Live annual membership passes.

It all adds up
Its amazing how these can soon add up to a nice amount if you just keep consistent in checking in and completing the tasks each day. As another old saying goes “Pennies make Pounds” and these few points each day can soon tally up to a few thousand. In fact, at a rough estimate, if you complete each of these tasks every day, you will accumulate around £80 in a year. If you collect points from shopping in the Microsoft Store or purchase Xbox games regularly from the site, then you can gather a lot more than that in a year.
Personally, I like to log in each morning whilst having my morning coffee and spend about 5 minutes clicking through these tasks. They usually amount to roughly 300 points per day for around 5 minutes of my time. Sometimes you can actually stumble upon some interesting articles that you’d have probably never seen otherwise as you’re working your way through the tasks. So it also has it’s perks too.
A friend of mine who is a gamer tells me that he actually funds his Annual Xbox Live Membership just by logging in each day and spending a few minutes completing the tasks. This also leaves him with points to buy more games too with a Microsoft Gift Card.
What’s the catch?
Naturally, as most people do, you’re probably wondering why Microsoft are just giving away these things. Well, they’re not just giving them away Free. each link you click on makes them money too. By affiliate marketing and ads placed on each of these pages that the links take you to, Microsoft will also make revenue from your click. So the points they are giving you are an incentive. A sort of ‘Revenue Share’. If affiliate Marketing is something that Interests you, then you can find out more about it and how it works in my article below;
How do I get Started?
Its really Easy. Simply go to the Microsoft Rewards Page and Create an Account Free. Once your account has been created, you can start earning points straight away.
As a new member, you will start at level 1.
All members (Except Xbox Live Gold members) start at level 1 each month until they earn their first 500 points and then they will be promoted to Level 2. This will let you earn more points each day, as it offers more tasks and features than Level 1 which is limited.
