When it comes to Unlimited Video hosting, YouTube as most of us are well aware, has probably got to be the most popular site online. Everybody knows about it and its most often the first port of call for anyone looking to upload and share their videos.
Where can I get unlimited Video Sharing Free?
Whether it be footage of their friends recent wedding or maybe a funny prank, music gig or sports game, there’s something on there for everyone and likewise all sorts being uploaded. However, sometimes the most popular isn’t always the most convenient solution to our needs.
Unlimited Video Hosting
Whilst youtube is the most popular host and certainly a favourite for viewing, it may not always be the best option for your needs. Sometimes it is good to have your own private hosting where you are in control of what you upload and how you choose to share it.
Private video hosting like this has been popular with many web developers for years, especially for developers hosting movie streaming sites. For one, your viewers need not be subjected to the endless advertisements that YouTube imposes on their unpaying viewers.
This gives you more control over your own websites content. It also allows you to be less reliant on Third Party sites in providing the content of your website. Especially if a particular video happens to be the focal content of a page, you want to be confident that it’s not going to be jeopardised by something you have no control over.
With uDrop, you can upload as many videos as you like, as long as they do not exceed 10Gb each. Even today with ever expanding file sizes, you’d be hard pushed to find a video that’s bigger than 10 gig.
So i think it will be a few years yet before there’s any worries about having a video that’s too big to upload.Besides, by that time, the maximum file size will no doubt be much bigger by then anyway.
Once you upload a video, you will be given a list of links and codes that you can use to embed it on your website (or anywhere else on the net that you choose for that matter).
Unlimited File Storage
When you have files on your computer that are important to you, then it’s always a sensible idea rto back them up in case of emergency. These may be Important business documents or Software, Family Photos, your music collection, Favourite Movies that you enjoy watching again. It doesn’t really matter what they are. The main thing is that they are important to you so you wouldn’t want to lose them.
Afterall, nobody knows when there computer or device may break down,have coffee spilled on it, or even just accidentally delete files. The possibilities for losing these are endless. That’s all the more reason to have at least one copy of each file backed up.
Thats where uDrop comes in handy. It allows you to upload any file you want to store up to a maximum of 10 Gb per file. That’s quite some size for a file. In fact this should pretty much cover any file really unless its a huge Game or piece of software that you’re uploading.
But this covers all movies, music, pictures and documents and there’s NO LIMIT to the amount of files you upload. So technically, if you wanted to, you could back up the whole content of your computers hard drive all in one simple account.
Share your Files
When you upload any file to uDrop and click on it, this will take you to that files own page. From here you can view the file if its a photo or word document or stream Audio or Video files without having to download them again.
It also gives you a list of links that you can use to either keep for your own reference should you later need to refer to or download it, or send the link to a friend so that they too can view, stream or download it too.
One great method i have been using ever since i first started using online storage sites like this is to make a catablog of my uploaded files. This is a simple method of making yourself an easy to find log of all your uploaded files.
You can do this very easily using Free WordPress hosting.In essence you are simply creating a list of all your links to the files you upload for storage.You can make it as fancy or as basic as you like.
When i first created a Catablog, it was specifically for my music collection that i spent months uploading to many different online storage sites (as most were limited in the amount you could store in one account).
Creating a CataBlog
When creating a CataBlog for my videos, would;
- Upload each album as a Zipped or RAR folder so that it can be downloaded in one go rather than each individual track at a time.
- Then i’d copy the link to that particular albums file and place it on its very own blog post that i entitled the name of album and artist – example; “The Greatest Album Ever by The Best Band”.
- I’d then upload a picture of the Albums cover and write a little review of my own sometimes. Using the simple link tool, i’d hyperlink the album cover to the file link so that anyone clicks on it, they’ll be taken to the download page for that file. If you want, you could even make a fancy “Download Here” button hyperlinked to the file for extra effect. It’s entirely up to you.
You can check out this example here, but this is just one of many ways you can do this. I like this way of doing it for a couple of reasons;
- It allows me to come back at any given time on any device and lookup the album i want to download quick and easy.
- Anyone else can access it too, so i can use this blogroll to share albums with my friends or with anyone who wants to listen to what music i have. No need to send files. I simply send them a link to the relevant album which they can click on to download straight from my storageaccount. It also allows people to browse what other albums i have there too.
